23 - October - 2010 Rock Of Midi (2224 m)

Before the march, some colleagues had tried to climb the Rock of the South last week, but due to weather conditions, they failed, so our march today consist of reaching it.
The Pisapraos atop the Rock of Midi (2224 m)

We left the car in the existing car park at kilometer 6 of the road leads to the Platform, and then put your boots on and prepare the backpacks, we began the march .

This picture does not make much sense climber, but to clarify a few things and above all to expose the odd Pisaprao.
Normally when you cross a river or spend some throat, do not have to jump the frogs and the occasional rock fall and splash into the other, but with this stunning visual record we have been able to discover the causes of some peers when cross the river to reach the other side wet, is that as we can see, there is a person who throws a stone and hide the hand .

But back to business. After leaving the forest track from the beginning of the march, we take a small but well-marked trail that will take us to the beginning of the Zetas rise to Puerto del Peon .

When we got there, we stopped and exchanged views on whether to go up the normal way or pick up directly Cocacha throat and throw up. Imposing this second option as we have already climbed many times by the Zetas.
No way but there are some milestones that will guide us in our ascent to the Port of Pawn.

Once up the port, we a short stop to enjoy the view of some of the channels that have more to gain some Pisapraos do, it is dry, dry carcasses .

continue our way towards the Rock and are embarking on a path to your sides crossed by an extensive Piornal .

Pisapraos Arrival of the Rock of the South.
We will make a short stop to enjoy the views. From here you can see both the south of Avila and all surrounding pine and Hoyos del Espino Navarredonda well as the area of \u200b\u200bPuerto del Arenal and some of the highest peaks of Gredos .

Our friend looking through binoculars in search of some sign of civilization around us .

order not to backtrack from the Rock from the south we went to a huge milestone, from afar can be seen. To get there, before we go through a lot not Piornal height and in part our way a bit difficult because we will have to give some back and attempts to overcome .

Morrito And we arrived at the Covacha (which is not the same as the Pajín Lips).
eat here and take our hot cup of coffee accompanied by a paste. And they say that we do not assemble as well when we go to the mountain and that everything is suffering .

Before the ride started, we take a final look at the picture which we can see from this vantage point.

For this part of the march, there is no way you should go inventing as you go through it.
The Piornal is quite high and this gives rise to the odd game of hide and seek with the insane intention that one partner does not find the sound track and target squarely in the Piornal (just kidding ) .

got circumvent cons of running a high note, no one lost and no one had large scratches on the broom sticks .

come to the hill of El Charco (1785 m.) and the source of the same name, the source is in good condition but do not pour water.
Here we decide that drivers of cars going in search of the trail Pawn port and get the car at km 6 and the other will go down a different path to the pools Valdeascas and pick us up at the There is camping nearby .

The trail continues down the throat of the Valley of the pastors to join the Boar Gorge.

The Pisapraos front of the Pools of Valdeascas.

We're on it being finished up, we just have to know if drivers have managed to get to this point and get us. From here we will go to Hoyos del Espino to take tankards.

TO THE NEXT.

16 - October - 2010 False

The Pisapraos in Galayos.
We went many times to this area Gredos, from 6 km from the platform, from the Nogal del Barranco, we've gone to look for quite a few sites, but had never been near False Portilla.
And in these cases is when you realize, that still preserves the ability to be amazed, you're not dead and still marvel at a new landscape or ancient landscape but viewed from another perspective, and that is what happened to us when we made this up.

Many times we had discussed the possibility of making some progress in the area behind the Galayos, try to inspect this part of the Sierra de Gredos, but when do we never saw, and behold we now have that possibility.
Navarredonda After breakfast, we had the platform heading Gredos, where we will start our journey.

We passed the Chozo of Prao door and start the climb up a very poor vegetation due to the fire that ravaged this part several years ago .

We slowly making our way and we approach the Campanula.

Wigs closer look at Riso (2199 m.), the path is visible at all times and the road is very nice, plus the weather .

We're almost at the Meadow of the Pelaos, at this point let's look to our right, no will upload it and continue our way to approach the back of the Galayos .

Looking at the Galayos.

Since we've never been through this area, we seek the best steps to continue our march. This is done at a slow pace, because when it all again the scenery never ceases to amaze.

Sometimes we do not get good roads and occasionally have to turn around and try for another area, a part of this, the fog is upon us and that makes us the vision .

Our joy in a well. We have to turn around and find a better alternative, since we have come to a place where we have no way out.
The pisapraos emerging from the fog .

We take a new path and we are certain milestones, which we will serve as a reference, until we reached a place where we decided to stop and from which enjoy spectacular views .

We left a little rest several colleagues and several of us decided to go a bit further to see what I could discover.
From this point we are on the side and behind us False Portilla Grand Galayo (2216 m.) .

began around to reconnect with our partners.
The road is not very complicated but sometimes you have to make some balance to keep control .

Time rest.

The return we will give you the same way, as we have not stopped cars at various points, so back to the platform.

Beware at some points along the route, because the narrowness of the passage and make it difficult to tilt the road. But go with caution and managed to overcome .

Step for the Bare Meadow. It must have been raining and you can see some ponds during the tour .

During the round will make some cliques and comments are happening on the fly, so it makes us more bearable .

looks a bit bleak landscape .

Last obstacle before to end the march, the throat passage of Puerto Prao. And now the bar to recover liquids.

wey Welcome to Mexico! Aniol

After many questions about where or what to do this hinvierno finally decided to go to Mexico. Everyone who wanted to come initially went slowly cracking so I finally ended up traveling alone. I knew that some of the guys you paddled in Chile ivan will be traveling Mexico are the very best for the next two weeks so the decision is not Easy.

After
think a lot about Where to go this winter I finally made the decision of go to Mexico. I did not know much about the country or the rivers But Just a few days after of decide it, I found myself In the plane going to Mexico City. I Knew Rush, Evan, Todd and Rafa Were Going To Be There For two weeks paddling.

Views from the plane, en route to Mexico City,
largest city and foolish I've seen!
a great guy I met at the airport that took me home until I could contact who Rafa Lo Curro viniendome plenty to look, well Lucas went down together with Tlapacoyan was one of the major destinations for Mexico Creek, where we met Evan, rush, matt and todd.

I met a guy at the exit of the airport That was super nice and Accept Me in His house till I find a way to go Veracruz. I got to connect with Rafael Ortiz coming Who was super cool for me together with Lucas And Then We Went down to Tlacapoyan, one of the Greatest destinations for creeking in Mexico, There we met with rush, evan, matt and todd.
From left to right: Todd, Rush, Rafa and Evan heading to tomata falls.

On my first day of kayak decided not to give me the option of heat engines with a little calm river and we went directly to Tomata I run a perfect cascade of 20 m. but with many possibilities for a bad line and fall of mouth, the lip of the waterfall is very vertical. After 6 months without being able to run anything bigger 13mm. I was really ready for a good Guarrazar so surprised I was the first after taking a great line. Tomata II also a boy scout, but it looked huge to run.

In my first day of kayaking the bitches decided to go run Tomata I, a perfect 70 ft. waterfall just 10 min. away  from Tlapacoyan. After 6 months without run anything bigger than a 13 m. drop in june I was feeling ready to eat shit, so I was really impressed and happy after had a good line on there. We also get to scout tomata II wich was looking big but good to go!

Todd getting better after knock himself on the 4o ft. drop

Tomata II la bestia que corrímos el segundo dia! Este es sín duda uno de los
strong technical steps that I raced in my whole life!
; , The crew! Mexican huckfest 2010! Stoked after tomata I and II.

This is the first seaport of the country, together with the seine, worked to have them work skills to assess the empirical operator port and logistics business of the Heroic.

The second half began and ended in March in July this year, and shall, in the month of September, the accreditation to another 120 workers.
